Why don’t the mainstream cable TV operators provide consumers access to unlimited cable channels from across the world? Why do they hold a monopoly over the content that get to watch while they continue to charge you outrageous monthly fees? Why are there so many legal, financial, and political roadblocks to watching TV content from across the world? Why do some cable operator offer some channels while others don’t? Why can’t cable TV be like the Internet? You don’t hear of one Internet service provider offering access to some websites while another one offers access to other websites. They all provide universal access to every website in existence.

Unlimited Cable TV Channels
Legal, political, and financial interests are what inhibit the mainstream cable television providers from offering unlimited cable TV channels as part of their line up. Though there are literally several thousands of cable, satellite, and broadcast TV channels available across the planet, these providers only offer a tiny fractional percentage of what is available out there today. For obvious political reasons, for example, they won’t broadcast Al-Jazeera TV or Cubavision.
Likewise, if the costs of licensing and carrying a particular cable TV channel is too cost-prohibitive, they won’t air it. The cable television industry is heavily regulated as such, therefore you won’t find many of the quality international TV channels being included as part of their line-up.

International Cable Channels
One of the shortcomings of American satellite and cable TV providers is that they are severely lacking in their selection of international cable channels. And it is no consolation that those channels that they do offer don’t come cheap, as they are often offered as “premium” services for an additional fee.
That’s why millions of people across the world have said goodbye to their satellite dishes, cable converters, messy wires, and their ridiculously outrageous monthly subscription fees, and have made the switch to internet-based access to satellite, cable, and broadcast television.
